Brexit has wide ranging implications for the Ground Engineering sector. These range from the potential economic impact of Brexit if we see either an economic downturn or a fall off in infrastructural investment.

It also brings uncertainty to the employment situation for companies working in the ground engineering sector. Many will employee EU nationals whose working rights will need to be recognised and protected and many will need to bring in skilled operatives from Europe to meet skills gaps.

To date the Ground Forum has responded to the Construction Leadership Council’s consultation to ensure that we can input into ground engineering issues and wider issues that will impact on the industry.
